So since i wrote about The Vampire Diaries, i wanted to write, introduce about Ian :)

He is an American model, actor, producer and best known for playing Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaris and Boone Carlyle in show Lost.
He was raised a Catholic and attended St. Paul's, a private Catholic school in Covington. He embarked on a modeling career from age 10 to 13 and by the age of 17 he decided to go into acting.
In May 2006, Somerhalder was named one of DNA Models' Top 10 Male Models.
He modeled in New York, Paris, Milan and London. His Modelling credits include Calvin Klein, American Eagle Outfitters, Dolce & Gabbanna, Gucci, Versace and Guess. He was the face of Guess for 2 fall seasons.
His first major acting role was in The Rules of Attraction, Roger Avary's adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel of the same name. His television work includes appearances in shows such as Smallville ( in which he played Adam Knight, a dead person who is being kept alive by a special drug. CSI: Miami, Law& Order: Special Victim Unit, CSI: Crime Scene investigation, Now and Again and the The Big Easy, as well as producing Recess.
In 2006, he starred in Pulse, a remake of the Japanese horror movie Kairo, with Kristen Bell and Christina Millian. The Movie was neither a commercial nor a critical success, performing relatively well at the box office on it's first week of release.
Somerhalder currently stars in the CW television drama The Vampire Diaries as Damon Salvatore, portraying a dangerous, maniacal, witty, whole-hearted vampire in love with his brother's human girlfriend, Elena Gilbert, who is the doppleganger of Damon's past love, who also in a ironic twist chose his brother over him.
Somerhalder was the first actor/celebrity to become actively involved in the cleanup after the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling disaster on April 22, 2010.His efforts included cleaning of oiled wildlife and taping public service announcements to let the public know how they could help.Somerhalder also supports the St. Tammany Humane Society, an organization for animal shelter and welfare. On November 13, 2010, he hosted a Bash on the Bayou charity fundraiser for the St. Tammany Humane Society. During the event, Somerhalder was presented with a donation of $11,100 by The Vampire Diaries fandom for his birthday project.Together with his The Vampire Diaries co-star Candice Accola, Somerhalder is also one of many supporters of the It Gets Better Project, a project that has made it a goal to prevent suicide among LGBT youth, associated with The Trevor Project. Somerhalder announced, via Twitter, and in various interviews that he is in the process of setting up The Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which he hopes will educate people on the importance of protecting the environment and animals. Somerhalder has stated:

He hopes that donations will be used to provide proper medical services to stray animals and he established the foundation on December 8, 2010, his 32nd birthday.
P.S: I've recently heard that he is dating with his co-starring star Elana ( Nina Dobrev) and they really look cute together :)
